A $400,000 price tag per month has the Unified Police Department considering scrapping its body camera program. It's not that officers don't use the body cams or that there's a specific complaint. It's just too expensive. Digital storage for the footage recorded by the cameras is a big factor. A grant that helped cover that cost has expired, meaning the department has to figure out where to find the money to keep the program going.
