A ban on trucks traveling on Legacy Parkway is set to expire on January 1, 2020, but neighbors who live along the Davis County corridor say that's not what they signed on for when the road was first built and opened. Tractor-trailers were initially banned from the road, which connects Davis County to Salt Lake City, in an effort to protect wildlife that lives in the area - especially birds and waterfowl who are attracted to the area because of the Great Salt Lake, which is a base for many migratory birds.
